The University of Glasgow is the fourth oldest university in the English-speaking world, founded in 1451. Based in Scotland’s largest city, the University of Glasgow is one of the world’s top 100 universities and currently has 26,000 students from over 120 different countries enrolled. Glasgow is also a member of the prestigious Russell Group of UK research universities.

 

The university ranks highly for subjects including; Veterinary Medicine, Cancer Studies, Cardiovascular Medicine, Dentistry, Physics, Computer Science and Celtic Studies.

The University of Glasgow performed impressively in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework. The percentage of world-leading research doubled to 31% since the last assessment in 2008, and Glasgow was ranked 12th overall in the UK and 2nd in Scotland.
